AbbVie has run up over the past week along with other pharma stocks. ABBV goes ex-dividend on April 13 and our 6 Apr 157.50 call is in the money, making it difficult to roll without paying a debit.

Since we don’t want to miss this dividend, we will let the stock be called away this weekend. We entered this trade at around 156.95, so we pick up about 0.55 of capital appreciation.

We will buy the stock next week on any pullback ahead of the April 13 ex-dividend date.

ACTION: Allow ABBV shares to be called away.
