Southern Co. (SO):  76.00

Southern Co. just announced a $0.68 dividend, a 3% increase from the previous dividend of 0.66. It’s always good news when one of our Triple Play Income stocks raises its dividend.

We were called out of the stock last week but we have time sell puts for a couple of weeks before SO goes ex-dividend on 5/13. Let’s sell a put for 2 weeks out.

ACTION:  Sell to open SO 29 Apr 75 put for around 0.72 to .75 and a 1% return.
